Barry Brewer, a South Side Chicago native, plays Davin Malon in The Heathen. He began his stand-up career in 2002, performing in churches and comedy clubs before moving to Los Angeles in 2004. Brewer gained much recognition through TV competitions like Who’s Got Jokes and Coming to the Stage. He is best known for his special Chicago I’m Home and Tyler Perry’s Bruh. Brewer has also appeared in Games People Play and Kevin Hart’s Guide to Black History, showcasing his versatile talents.

Koryn Hawthorne is an inspirational American gospel and contemporary Christian singer who first gained national recognition as a finalist on The Voice Season 8 at the age of 17, under Pharrell Williams' mentorship. Known for her powerful vocals, Hawthorne's hit song, Won’t He Do It, went platinum in 2024, selling over 1 million copies. She has collaborated with great artists like Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, and Donnie McClurkin. In addition to her music career, she debuted her acting skills in Praise This!

Usman is a filmmaker and entrepreneur known for Miracle at St. Anna (2008), Criminal Behavior (2013), and The Other Side (2018). He began his entertainment career in 1999 and landed pivotal roles in Miracle at St. Anna, You’re Nobody Till Somebody Kills You, Notorious, and more. Usman also starred in HUG (2009 Sundance) and appeared in The Wire and Tyler Perry’s House of Payne.

As a producer, Usman worked on the award-winning short film Glimpse and produced the documentary Minds of Men.

Erica began her career in 1988 with voice-overs and commercials before transitioning to film and TV. She starred in Save the Last Dance, A Cinderella Story, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and The Other Side (2018). A Columbia College graduate, she won a Regional Emmy for hosting Up'N Running and starred in Lincoln Heights and Disney’s The Replacements. Hubbard says, "I love playing a variety of characters and strive to choose diverse roles in comedy and drama to entertain all audiences."

Jokia is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who discovered her love for music at 12. After joining the Army, she gave her life to Christ. While deployed in Iraq, she taught herself guitar.

Her debut single Yahweh topped the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart. Her latest single, Let Him In, is currently trending at #18.
In addition to music, Jokia made her acting debut in Double Cross (Allblk, WeTV) and starred in The Heathen. She's also working on Valley: A Love Mountain Story.

Known for his vocals, Isacc has worked with the group Men of Standard, and his three solo albums. Blending gospel with R&B, he has collaborated with Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, and others, delivering hits like Trust In God, In Your Will, and In The Middle. His first two solo albums debuted at #1 on the Billboard Gospel chart, earning him multiple BMI awards, Stellar nominations, and a Stellar Award for Producer of the Year. Carree remains one of gospel's most innovative artists.
